Chicago: 55-Year Old Mother Of Five Gunned Down And Killed By Police

Chicago: West Garfield Park.

Two people were shot dead after a recent police encounter.

According to sources, The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office identified the deceased woman as Bettie R. Jones , 55.

Jones was a mother of five until a recent police encounter. It remains unclear how the mother of five came to be in the line of fire.

The second is identified as Quintonio Relatives said LeGrier was studying engineering at a Northern Illinois University.

Bettie Jones, 55 and 19-year-old Quintonio Legrier were killed early Saturday when police responded to a domestic disturbance call.

Jones, was a neighbor of Legrier, who lived in a first-floor apartment.

According to sources, Witnesses reported that Legreir had threatened a family member with a metal baseball bat.

The Chicago Tribune Reported That:

Relatives said LeGrier had been recently struggling with mental issues.

According to reports: The police shooting is under investigation and the case has been referred to the city’s main police oversight agency.
